    Bob, I love your pictures. I always show them to my husband. “Here’s another picture from my friend in NH.” We never get to NE so it’s very interesting to us, plus you are a good photographer. Are you saving them anywhere? I ask because bloggers are finding themselves hounded with new vigor over copyright violations, and in response, many of us are creating our own libraries of photos for future blog posts, and sharing with each other. I started a Flickr.com account, and I tell people to go ahead and use whatever from my pathetic library they want. I only ask that they attribute AnyShinyThing.com in a caption.     It must freeze solid in winter, which means it must be a great place to skate. I’ve seen ice on puddles but not on ponds yet.

      In all the years we have lived here, I remember only one in which there were skaters on the pond. As for me, my ankles droop on ice.
